Welcome to Rossendale Restaurant and Winery
![]() The annual Rossendale river race event ![]() It was a lovely sunny day for the annual Rossendale Motokana and BBQ this year. The latest addition to the rally car lineup scored a few dents but lasted the distance nonetheless. Two bigger "toys" were bought out as well today, and roads built and holes dug by delighted children. ![]() Rossendale held a special fundraising dinner for Michelle Mouton, the most sucessful female rally driver of all time. She went on from here to compete with co-driver Farizia Ponsdrive in the Dunlop International Classic Rally in Otago, driving Rossendales' Ford Escort RS1800.
A very special lady at Rossendale turned 50 in May 2009, and everyone helped her to celebrate her day in style. Banners were hung along the roadside welcoming her to the office, which was decorated with balloons, sprinklers and flowers. At morning tea everyone gathered at Lansdowne and enjoyed a morning tea together, with cake and coffee. Happy days Lizzie! Rossendale has won two medals for wines entered at the Royal Easter
Show. Our Rossendale Nelson Riesling 2007 pulled a silver, followed by
the Rossendale Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2007 which wears a bronze. This was a gathering to say goodbye to those of our staff who leave us to go back to Uni (and on to other pastures, even further afield)- a fun event when we spend some time together before the team splits up. This year's summer evening was just perfect for the tennis and bbq. There was a bit of competition, some clear stars, and some up and coming young 'uns with plenty of promise shining through. Rossendale officially moved into our new office - what a transformation! From a tin garage, to a light, modern workspace. Kudos to the planners, builders, electricians, painters, etc who worked together on this project from the initial vision to it's completion. A Pre-wedding bottle party was held to celebrate a special staff member, Averil, who after many years of helping at Lansdowne wedding got married herself. Rossendale staff and associates enjoyed an evening together at a well-attended, world famous Rossendale Christmas party. The theme for this night was James Bond, 007, and there was a great effort put into many of the costumes by our talented team of 2007. The 2007 annual Rossendale Motokhana was an event to be remembered. There was some skillful driving, with the quickest time being achieved by Brent Rawstron. Brent was followed closely by Chris Waters, and lastly in third place was Brett Banks.
